Clay joined Osteal Therapeutics as the Vice President of Clinical Affairs in July 2022. He has 20 years of experience with increasing leadership responsibilities in the strategic development and execution of Class III implantable medical device clinical trials. Most recently, Clay served as the Director of Clinical Research for Abbott Medical Devices leading the company’s Leadless Pacemaker and Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy portfolios. Prior to this, he led the Clinical Trial Reimbursement team for St. Jude Medical’s Cardiac Rhythm Management and Neuromodulation clinical trials. Previously, Clay managed the development and support of medical device clinical trials for Biotronik. Clay has served as an invited speaker at conferences on best practices in the development and reimbursement of medical device clinical trials and as an author on numerous clinical trial research publications.

Clay received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
