Jude is a co-founder of Osteal Therapeutics and currently serves as Chief Technology Officer with responsibility for overseeing R&D, Clinical and Regulatory Affairs.

 

Jude is a highly experienced medical technology entrepreneur who specializes in taking new ideas from concept through regulatory approval and clinical use. Prior to Osteal, he co-founded Spine Innovation and several pre-clinical development companies as founder of Cor Medical Ventures (CMV), a med-tech accelerator.  At CMV, Jude led development of the products behind Responsive Orthopedics (Medtronic), Responsive Arthroscopy and GD5 (Smith and Nephew, via Integra).  Prior to Cor Medical, he was CTO of N Spine (Synthes), co-founder of Facet Solutions, VP of Operations at Coapt Systems, and founder of Soma Research, where he first began working with med-tech start-ups. Jude began his career at Johnson and Johnson, as an R& D engineer in orthopedics and ophthalmology followed by Stryker Osteonics, as an R&D manager.

 

Jude earned his Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from M.I.T. and Master of Bioengineering from UC Berkeley and UC San Francisco.
